How many kilometres do you need for the Compostela?

Can you book the Xunta’s public albergues?
No. First come, first served, €10 per night, doors open 13:00 to 22:00, one night only. If you read that you can book online, that information is out of date. See the page Checked 23/09/2026
Tui or Vigo for the last 100 km?
Tui: 118.8 km according to the Xunta, no question. Vigo along the coast: 101 km, only just, and on forums some pilgrims report it being questioned at the counter. If you start in Vigo, get a stamp at the start and end of each stage, dated. See the page Checked 23/09/2026
