Having a shower in Santiago without accommodation
PendingYou arrive, you want a shower and you have no bed until the afternoon, or you’re leaving that same day. There’s a pilgrim forum thread open since 2019 with this question and no fixed answer.
It’s not that you haven’t searched properly: no official website in Santiago lists a shower for pilgrims without accommodation. I checked on 23 September 2026 on the websites of the Seminario Menor, the Azabache albergue and the Santa Isabel sports centre. None of them advertises it.
Santa Isabel sports centre (Multiusos): lists a “general admission” ticket at €5.68 and opens Monday to Friday 7:00 to 23:00, Saturdays 9:00 to 20:00 and Sundays 9:00 to 14:00. It doesn’t say whether that ticket gives pilgrims access to the showers. I’ll ask in person.
Pending: I’m going to go and ask at all three places. Until I have a price and opening hours from them in person, there’s no recommendation here.
