Who’s behind this

I’m David. I live in Teo, right next to Santiago de Compostela, on the side where the southern routes come in: Milladoiro, the Sar, Porta Faxeira, Rúa do Franco.

This website does one thing only: tell you what you need today, checked. Every detail carries the date I looked at it and a link to the source. If I haven’t checked it, you’ll see it marked as pending, not filled in with something that sounds right.

I started with the arrival because that’s where most things go wrong: the Mass that changes venue, the luggage storage with a price from five years ago, the albergue that can no longer be booked. Everything else is being added in batches, checked one by one.

If something has changed and I don’t know yet, email me. I’ll check it and update the date.

How this website is paid for

Right now, it isn’t. There are no ads and no link on this website pays me.

If there are ever links that earn me a commission, or a paid guide, you’ll see it written next to the link and the price. No link will change what I tell you: if a place closes at six, it will say it closes at six.

What you won’t find here

You won’t find Camino history, packing lists or footwear advice here. Plenty has already been written about that on other websites.

How I check each detail

I read the official website of the place (Cathedral, Pilgrim Office, Xunta, Correos, the bus company) and copy what it says, with the date I read it and the link. If the website doesn’t say, I go to the door and ask. If I haven’t been yet, the page says “pending”. I don’t fill gaps with what the forums say.
